So I turn on my SporTrak to confirm some coordinates. I’m pretty darn glad I had written them down earlier. When I go to my database now, I get the “no objects found” message. Yep, my entire database has disappeared. I still have my maps though. And I still can’t upload anything.
Have I mentioned before that I hate this unit?

Becky…bring it w/ you on Sunday and let me look at it. I’ll have mine and John will have his computer…we’ll get it taken care of!
02/18/2005 at 3:59 am #1740340I’ll bring it along. Thanks.
(still not loving the unit though….I guess I’m a bitter woman after all….)

Say it if it makes you feel better. I can’t count the number of times my Magellan has been the only one in the group with signal, while all the little Garmin users had me lead them to a cache area. Once there they just kind of poked around and went in circles until someone found the cache. So…while Bec may be having trouble w/ her unit, some of us love ours and appreciate its accuracy. I guess it’s just a matter of the situation. But you just go rigt on thinking that Magellan’s are bad. We Magellan owners have broad shoulders and can take what you say with a grain of…well with a hootie!

Co-conspirator to make the world a better place…02/20/2005 at 1:05 am #1740346I started with Garmin,
Found myself swarmin’.
Often I had to move away,
From that what was harmin’.Good Sat. lock I sought,
So a Magellan I bought.
For awhile it worked,
Then it developed a quirk.I pulled out my old Garmin.
Helded the two side by side.
I knew of a bench mark,
I went for a ride. The Magellan was off,
The Garmin..Right on.
I left and came back.
Again the Mag. got sacked!
I tried it again,
But of course,
The Garmin did win!!I decided right then,
I’d use a Garmin again!!!Keep on cachin’!
