For those that have attended in the past, and those who may be new….
The Great Northwoods Gathering V (GNG V) is a weekend event held at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya near Mountain, WI. This is our fifth year hosting this great event. Sorry, due to camp policy, this event is not open to “day” attendees.
GNG V will be held February 3-5, 2012. The cost is $30.00/person paid by December 31st. Cost covers the cabin rentals, a group meal on Saturday night, and use of the camp and equipment.
Cabins are heated by a gas furnance and a fireplace and include bunk style beds in a common sleeping area. Seperate bathrooms for men and women are availabe a short hop from the cabins and inlcude elelctricity, flush toilets and private showers.
Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya includes tens of miles of cross country ski trails (Beginner to expert), sledding hill, two ice skating rinks, broom ball, hockey, a newly built sauna, and a dining faciltiy with coffee and hot chocolate available all day. The camp provides all equipment (Except ice fishing) for your use while on camp property. If you’re not into winter sports, bring a good book or those geocaching puzzles you’re working on and cozy up around the fireplace with a hot beverage.
As this event is about geocaching, a few temps will be placed, as well as a group meal on Saturday to share geocaching stories and nightmares! There will also be geocaching trivia throughout the weekend. Of course, who can forget the geocaching games and door prize mayhem that ensue on Saturday night as well. If you need a caching fix, there are many permenant caches located near camp that can be found!
