GREEN BAY PADDLERS HIT THEIR 100TH CACHE AT THE PICNIC ON THE TUNDRA!

It’s been fun to accompany you on some of those first hundred. Hope to find a few with you on your way to two.
Congratulations!

09/19/2004 at 5:37 am #1755760Good news…
We know that the big C mark was a summer goal of yours… Fall doesn’t begin until the 22nd… You met the goal with four days to spare…
Kudos…

I seem to be having difficulties with the … key…09/19/2004 at 12:44 pm #1755761Wanted to thank everyone for the kind words. Amy had to take our team across the finish line as I was involved in a event at the high school where I teach.
Of course I wanted to be there for #100, but in retrospect this was appropriate. I started caching before my wife back in January of 2003. Amy got hooked after I had found 10 or so caches.
We’ve really enjoyed all of the places we’ve visited, people we’ve met and puzzles we’ve solved over the past two years. It was nice taking the casual stroll towards 100 caches. The next hundred will probably (hopefully) take twice as long!
Favorite caches over the past 100?
The “Lord of the Rings” series in the Tinley Park forest preserves outside of Chicago for the memories.
Door County’s “Cana Island Lighthouse” for the beauty.
“Navarino Bob” for the hype and adventure!
“PC Junction” for the food!
“Glow in the Dark II” for the excitement.
“Bridge over the River Oconto” for the grandeur.
“East Shore Library” for a beautiful, unknown spot on a day when I needed to escape.
Thanks to everyone for the memories and the kind words. I think we might finally be at a point where we can place a cache or two!

Nice that you always share your opinions – would be very boring if we all always agreed all the time on the forum.
Keep it up!09/23/2004 at 3:46 am #1755770Agreed 100%… Definitely an opinionated forum out there. It’s good to lock horns in order to help achieve the common good….
