Hello all…I am wondering how many people would be interested in finding “The Green Lake Leprechauns” with us. We will be heading out there on Saturday Feb. 13th. Time is not set yet, I guess we can base that on when it would work best for the rest of you.

This is a T/4 cache, but with the safe ice, it should prove to be a nice easy walk, as there is little snow as of now. I would recommend boots, nothing else for special equipment would be needed, unless you have some ice creepers. It is only .2 miles from parking to the first way-point.

I will gladly supply hot cocoa and snacks for when we make it back to the parking area.

    Coordinates to the parking area are…N43 49.680 W88 55.657

Let me know if you can make it!!

Here is the link to the cache page.

Could very well be interested. Have to double check schedule.

❓ Say, how safe is it having a large group of cachers tromping around on the ice? ❗ 😯

We should be more than fine, I know this because I am driving my truck out on the main lake, and this backwater freezes over much faster and much thicker than the main lake does. Unless we have a very large group!! πŸ˜› which would be nice, then we will just put you first BakRdz…just kidding 😯

Tentatively, I would plan on going.

But you have to come to my event this Saturday, first!

Also, that is the day for the Ecorangers 20K event.

I was actually thinking of coming up for that. I had plans, but they fell through(thank god). So, the wife and I might be able to swing up to Appleton for the event.

Since we were FTF, maybe we’ll come and sleep in the car! πŸ˜‰

Seriously, we intended to go to West Bend that day, but neither one may work, pending some issues!

    What time?

Time is totally open, whatever works for the majority of the people that come. What time would work for you, if it works out?

Better let others decide the time. Or just set the time based on when you would have gone out anyway! There are some winter-friendly caches in the area. No reason that a cacher couldn’t grab 20-30 caches from Princeton to Ripon, too!
There might be some cachers headed back that way from West Bend, later in the day. I was thinking that the sunset would be a nice backdrop on the way out!

    Your call!

Maybe – This is close to home, but I “got permission” to go to Marc’s event this week. Hopefully I can talk my way into this one. I’ll have to be on good behavior. πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Tentative in on this one, would vote for morning run 10-1030ish but could be flexible if the social director says I can.

Tell your “warden” that you need to pick up your new hiking stick. It just happens that the pick-up location is the final to the cache. πŸ˜‰ Plus, you can make it up to her the day after on Valentines Day.

Either late afternoon or AM would work for me. I have other things I need to attend to that day, but I can squeeze them around something like this. What ever works for you muddy ones.

Alright…I think we will have a better turnout if we do it in the afternoon. How about 3:00, that will give us plenty of daylight to work with. There will be hot cocoa and some hopefully still warm fudge brownies.
