Hello all, I’m RebelGTP and I hail from North Central IL. With the close proximity I am in to the shared IL/WI border, I sometimes make caching forays North of the Border to the Beloit/Janesville Areas. Though I have been to areas like Lake Delton/Wisconsin Dells, Milwaukee, Madison, Lake Mills, Portage, Menominee, and River Falls, I have yet to cache in those areas.
I started caching in 2003 though I only logged one find until August 20th, 2010. That is when I installed the Trimble Outdoors Geocaching Navigator on my Blackberry and realized that there was a cache 341 feet from my house. From then on, I have gone caching crazy. I have completed an IL 100+ day cache challenge and almost have completed an IL Alphabet Soup challenge.
Some of my favorite caches include Unknown caches involving a puzzle or some sort of interesting behavior and Virtual Caches.
As the weather gets nicer towards Spring, I plan to make caching trips to some of the areas I have been prior because I love the landscape of the Northwest region of WI. I look forward to maybe running into some of the neighbors to the North on the trails!
Like puzzles? Check out the land of Sellzup (i.e. Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, Little Chute, etc.).
Yup, puzzle heaven up around Menasha/Appleton/Green Bay. Welcome to the other side of the Cheddar Curtain.
Lots of fun caches in NW Wisconsin. Long hikes, woods, water, hills–ammo cans! And don’t forget a few puzzles thrown in there, too, plus some good series caches. Really, you can’t go wrong caching anywhere in Wisconsin! 😀
