But my rough count, we have ~15 people camping on the huge group site that has a stated capacity of 80 people and probably 20 tents. So more are definitely welcome, but please let me know (contact me or at least post here) so I can give a count to the park folks. We have the campsite reserved both Friday and Saturday nights.
If someone can bring a little firewood for one of the 6(!) fire rings it would be appreciated.
I forgot to mention in the past that this is group site II. I’ve pasted in the information below.

Sites are walk-in and tent only. Gear must be carried in, a short distance. Wheeled campers are not allowed. They can reserve a site in the family campground. Groups wanting the area to themselves must pay for a 21- person minimum. This group camp has an open shelter wih electricity. There is a $5.00 per night charge, if electricity is used. Setting up your campsite is not allowed between 11:00 p.m. and 6: 00 a.m. No overnight camping facilities for horses. Vehicle admission stickers are required.
Notes
SiteThis is a partially shaded site, with a hardwood tree cover, and a grassy camping pad. Group camp 2 is a large, open mowed area. Most groups set up tents on the perimeter, and use the open center for a play area. The center is slightly sloped. Group area 2 has a shelter. Six firerings and picnic tables are on the perimeter. There are pit toilets only.
09/11/2009 at 4:04 pm #1914072Do you have it for both Friday and Saturday night, or just Saturday?
Please note, firewood can only be brought from within 50 miles of the park.
I have many downed trees but no cut firewood, or I would bring some.

Sorry… I have the campsite for both nights (Friday and Saturday).
09/18/2009 at 3:35 am #1914074Here’s the scoop. If you are camping in the group site you need to register at the park office when you arrive. They are keeping a vehicle log.
You can register and set up any time after 3pm. The park office is only open until about 9:30, so you must arrive by then.
09/18/2009 at 3:38 am #1914075We’ll be getting there a little late, but should make it in time. We’ll be setting up in the dark, though. 🙁
