greetings all.. Currently i am using EASYGPS for uploading.. now i just d/l GSAK.
In playing with this i feel its very difficult to navigate and use. alot of extras that I even dont know what in the world to do with. anyone else find this? I cant even figure out how to upload to my pda. currently using plucker.
Stick with it! There are a million things I don’t use on it as well but the things I do use are excelent. i use Plucker as well as Cachemate and I find it great to be able to export my data to nearly any file type I need. (GPS Uploading is under[GPS] button, third from the left.)
GSAK has a bit of a learning curve but is well worth the effort.
my $.02
Truth be told, I use all of the programs since each does something better than the other.
EasyGPS is great for a quick upload to a GPS.
GSAK is great for organizing caches by distance, type, etc. It is also useful for creating a list of caches along a route. I use it mainly for it’s ablity to export to file types that work with my collection of mapping programs.
I still use Spinner & Plucker for my PDA. I tried cachemate but it was soooo slow. Nor does it offer the customization of Spinner.
If all you want to do is upload files to your gps, buying GSAK is overkill.
