GSAK continues to try to be everything to everybody, which may make it difficult to learn but worth the effort.

A new feature, something that I’ve thought that geocaching.com should have now, has been added to the newest release (Feb 17).

This new feature is the ability to filter the caches based upon a text search. For example, if you are interested in historical locations, then search for ‘histor’ (this will find caches that use the term history, historic etc).

Combined with the already rich search options makes finding the cream of the caches (for your definition of cream) possible.

One of the newer versions also added a cache density to the HTML export files. I love having every cache in say a 70 mile radius indexed by cache density and distance from my home coordinates!

Well worth the $20 donation! I also love the way I can export the same 250 caches into a MapSource file and see them real time on my laptop loaded with MapSource.
