Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue with using GSAK on a system with the Microsoft Vista OS? I just got a new toy (laptop) and it came with Vista. I download GSAK to it for my Good Friday Geocaching adventure, and I can’t send waypoints from the computer to my GPS…. Help me please Wisconsin!!!
Try this …

Make sure your running version 7.0.2 (2/23/2007) of GSAK, they modified it recently to work with Vista, prior versions had some problems.

In your GSAK, find the “GPS Setup” screen … make sure the right Brand is checked (ie. Garmin vs. Magellan) … but more importantly make sure the check-box is checked indicating that you are using USB (I assuming you are using USB, which is a good bet with a new laptop).
Dearest Mr. Saver,
Thank you for the FYI. I’ll try that tonight when I get home from work!!
You didn’t mention what type of gps you are using, I know garmin has released a new USB driver that is more vista compatible.
