It’s okay. I just wanted to bring back this thread to see where it went. I had wondered what ever happened to the regions, now I see by reading this thread in it’s entirety. All the bickering (maybe a little too harsh a word?) was it’s downfall. However, I would like to thank WA for posting this on FB somewhere.
Times change.
Cachers come and go.
Cachers get less active or more active.
Interests change.
People move.
Thanks HH for bringing it back. This was fun to read and see the map. I think most people commented in fun. Even if many of the earlier cachers aren’t active anymore, it is still fun to hear the discussion on territories and why to call it that. It also helps when some of the earlier cachers still active refer to things in the past, to have this reference. I didn’t see the earlier posts before yours. I wonder if it is because I went to recent posts by topic instead of going in through Forums. It also could be why the “some time ago” conversation didn’t have any meaning for me…I always could see times of last posts. Thanks again!
I’ll call these two parts of Oconto County by the names I gave them and see if they catch on or not. Also, I always refer to the Rhinelander area as Hodag Country, for obvious reasons. Hopefully others do as well. BTW, I’ve always enjoyed seeing the Sovereign State Of Winneconne on the map.

I am honored that the Yellow Brick Road should define the Land of OC (Oconto County). Welcome all who enter here…it’s a magical realm filled with enchanting caches 😀
After visiting this afternoon, I have decided that Wisconsin will reclaim the Upper Peninsula. This reclaimed land shall be called The Unofficial State Of Yoopsconsin.
