I think those ‘guards’ should have given Dave some overnight accommodations! He deserves it, for all the rules he breaks getting to a FTF!
What part of NOT 24/7……….
Sooooooo…….just what time is one to attempt to find the cache? There’s no listed hours and is not list as a non-night cache.
12/30/2008 at 2:27 am #1895612Dave is well known for hunting caches in parks ‘after hours’. He has been stopped numerous times by police officers, and always manages to sweet talk his way out of it!!!!!!
12/30/2008 at 3:37 am #1895613I did notice that the name “SAGASU” was the only thing on the log sheet. No date, no time. Of course, he did get an FTF last year without signing anything on the sheet! π

That’s a neat trick! I think I will try that one too. π

Time to move it back where it started? Now that would be interesting.

Now Mathman, you’ve got your own tricks. Don’t make me post the link (It wouldn’t take much). π―

A notice to all foreigners:
The Kingdom of Selzzup has posted guards along ALL of it’s border, to keep foreigners out. There has been a considerable amount of FTFing by these fly-by-night foreigners, that has the local population up in arms.
Until further notice …………
He sure did.
I chastised him once for it, but the Bishop is bound by a higher sense of authority that which comes from the king. I am not one to enforce border-crossing quotas and actually welcome visitors from other lands, even for FTF’s.
On another note.
Man, if I felt bound by “rules” I wouldn’t get much playing in. Most parks are closed when I get to go out. I take my chances and have had my share of encounters, one of which resulted in… well, lets just say I was uncomfortable for 15 minutes, and it wasn’t in a park but on a public street.
Most officers are only interested in keeping the drug-traffiking and underage-drinking out of the parks and are quite understanding when they come across late-night cachers. Moreover, they are appreciative when
I report suspicious activity or find contraband when I am caching, something I’ve also done on a number of occasions, and know that I do more good than harm when I do cross the time-line.Now, I know this is going to spark a whole new discussion about how we are supposed to abide by local park rules or we risk giving “geocaching” a bad name. I can understand and appreciate that. In the end, all the caches I place and actions I take come down to being my own responsibility. If I fall out of a tree going after a 5 terrain and break my arm, it’s on me. If I get a citation for being in a park after hours, well, that’s on me too. End of story.
01/06/2009 at 3:32 pm #1895620Sandland sitll has snow and ice, but Sandland has sand. Sand on the streets and roads, sand on the sidewalks and driveways, sand on the intersections and parking lots, sand tracked into homes and businesses. Sand, sand, sand. Too bad we don’t have any of that black gold under all that sand or we would have the Sheikdom of Sand.
And come the winds of March, we will be the dust bowl of central Wisconsin, as we all get sandblasted.
01/11/2009 at 4:39 am #1895621Guess we are just to (sic) far north we are off the map… The real up nort where the TEs live and no one dares visit when the cold winds blow.
TEStop expanding the OUTLANDS … we cannot BEAR to see our beloved motherland treated as such.
TEs are not the only sleuths that slither and slide among the balsams and the crawl-somes amid the deep snows of the Esox. Where the eagle cries and the muskrat guards it’s musk, the refelo also is known. Perhaps not as feared, but tenacious in spirit and terrible in tacticals, (and less some giblets from recent excursions) I say DRAW THE MAP to include the entire realm, and refelo will claim what is his; from the lake of plums east to muskrat waters at the west; the state line of Yooperland northern to the edge of the green boathouse on that lake named after chief Noc-Wib. Lands to the south belong to Gibbers; to the east, TE.
Let it be thus in this new year two thousand and nine. π

01/11/2009 at 6:50 am #1895624While Timberline Echoes are very proud of the as yet unnamed region of the state they are from, I doubt that they claim it as their own. Even the Sandlanders named themselves after the land rather than vice-versa.
I was really hoping that the offical cartographer of the Kingdom of Selzzup would offer a rendering of currently known lands…01/11/2009 at 1:44 pm #1895625@Team Black-Cat wrote:
