Anybody have experience with this product?

Looks promising, but hoping someone can give first-hand experience.

Any other DIY gutter guards that people can recommend?

Nope, only the cheaper ones that came installed with my seamless gutters. Looks interesting.

I am not impressed with any gutter”gaurd”. While most will have no problem with light rains, I have seen quite a few do absolutely nothing in heavy rain or downpours. A lot of leaf litter gets caught in them, and as tthe leaves break down many of them get clogged. Some get clogged when hornets or wasps get under the covers and build nests. And with a lot of them, A heavy rain just washes right over the top of them. A lot also depends on the pitch of your roof. As of now, I just plan on the old standby and clean them out twice a year.

I have not used these but from just looking at it my guess would be that the voids in the foam would fill up slowly with small matter and increase weight on the gutters. This would also start slowing down its ability to let water pass freely through leading to water roll over. This of course would not happen if you’re in an area where your roof stays absolutely clean.
