Just had to share –
I put my name in to possibly get one of the Halo Top Creamery robot TBs, and I got an emaol today saying I was chosen to get one! It’ll probably get stolen out of the first cache I place it in, but it’s exiting to get one all the same.
04/17/2018 at 12:44 pm #2059236I too have received the email 🙂 Being I like robots and ice cream, glad to add this to my list of trackables.

04/18/2018 at 10:57 am #2059262Exactly why I put my name in the mix for this one, when I didn’t for the Magic The Gathering TB last year. If Cachekins had done this one as a purchasable tag, I would have definitely considered buying it.
Are you guys going to try the ice cream? I looked it up, and pints are available locally. Then, I compared its Vanilla Bean flavor with that of Edy’s. Fewer calories than Edy’s, but MUCH higher in sodium, and higher in cholesterol. And only a couple of grams more protein. With high blood pressure, I think I’m better off with the Edy’s than this “healthier ice cream.” Who eats ice cream for its health benefits, anyway?
04/18/2018 at 11:12 am #2059263I’ve never heard of it…but I love Edy’s 🙂

04/18/2018 at 3:08 pm #2059266Someone needs to post when these things pop up so we can register. I saw the MtG one and didn’t get one despite playing the game since Beta (that means something, trust me). I got one last year but can’t even place what company it was from and haven’t had time to release it yet.

I hadn’t, either. I just assumed it was one of those West Coast establishments that’s starting to go more national. I was actually surprised when I saw pints were available in grocery stores.
04/19/2018 at 5:59 pm #2059295Just found out today we are working with them on containers. How freaky weird is that?
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

That’s pretty awesome!!!!
04/19/2018 at 10:01 pm #2059300I hate to say it, especially since they are sending me a TB, but I’ve tried Halo and didn’t really care for it.

04/21/2018 at 1:22 am #2059323The announcement was posted to the official WGA Facebook page. I don’t know if it was mentioned on the site or not.

What is a Halo Top Creamery robot TB? Follow up question, let me know which cache you release it into, so I can steal it. 🙂

Back on April 3, HQ sent an email with the subject “Kids shouldn’t have all the fun.” Inside was a link for those interested in getting a Halo Top Creamery sponsored TB that looks like a cute robot, kind of like last year’s Magic The Gathering promotion. Or, I’m guessing the classic Jeep promo bugs. That was before my time, though, so I don’t know how those were doled out. These were supposedly at random from those who declared their interest.
And, I have to get mine before I can release it! 🙁 I’m jealous that Bartrod got his so fast! Maybe they’re waiting until I finally release the TB I made with my Mary Hyde code…
(On a related note, was I the only one hoping they’d do a repeat of that for those of us who completed Planetary Pursuit?)
04/29/2018 at 6:56 am #2059392Here are a couple of links that will, first, introduce you to the robot and, second, explain the mission that these little fellows will be on.
Win a Halo Top Robot trackable and take your taste buds on an adventure!
You won’t be stealing mine from any nearby geocache, because I won’t be releasing it. 😉 As I read it, a cacher is supposed to take pictures with the tag on caching adventures, and use one of two hashtags when submitting to social media in order to be entered for a chance to win prizes. So, you could win POTM and a prize from Halo Top Creamery all from one photo!
