My family, especially that Trekkin’ and I are as old as we are and all our parents are still around and kicking.
A job that keeps me feeling young.
Stories and all they have done for me.
The great outdoors and all it offers us to enjoy if we treat it well; the birds and animals, the landforms and waters….and of course the chance to enjoy it while seeking boxes of junk in the woods! 😉
And although my faith and religion have severely tested me of late, the hope it still brings me.
11/22/2007 at 3:00 pm #1881354I really have so much to be thankful for. I am especially thankful for family and friends who helped me get through an extremely difficult summer, and most thankful that I am walking (and finding caches) again. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

In Reality… I am thankful for the health and continued development of our expected wee one. First and foremost.
I am thankful for the friends and experiences that geocaching has brought us. The bonds we have forged with our acquaintances in this close-knit community are stronger than just about any others we have made over the years. And I don’t think I will ever tire of the sense of wonder that geocaching can bring. If there is something that makes America (and our world) special, odds are there is a geocache within .1 miles 😉 .
I could wax philosophical for quite some time, but let’s suffice it to say that I have a lot to be thankful for, and that alone is a reason to be thankful.
We hope everyone had a bountiful and Happy Thanksgiving.
11/23/2007 at 7:15 pm #1881362I’m thankful I brought the GPSr to the Christmas tree farm this morning–came in quite handy to mark prospsective trees before making the final selection. Actually using the GPSr for marking points of navigation? What a novel concept.
We’re thankful that we live in a society of such freedom and abundance that we can have a whole sport devoted to hunting tupperware, and the infrastructure to make that work. Amazing when you think about it.
Most seriously, and most important, we’re thankful for the people on the front lines, in this country and around the world, who defend the freedom to pursue that which makes us happy, whether that pursuit be trivial or significant.
