I’ve had several people unable to find this cache since I changed it to a micro-cache. What do you guys think of caches that are really hard to find? I didn’t intend it to be such a hard find but my last cache there was plundered so I don’t want to make it easier. The web site doesn’t even make it look that bad but several people have emailed me saying they were unable to find it but didn’t post on the site. Some of the people even have been out several times. Should I put more details in the hint or do people like the challange? The sort of scary thing is that the cache is ment to be wheelchair accessible.

Please don’t give in to the temptation to ‘dumb down’ your cache. Perhaps the difficulty rating needs to be higher than a 3.5 if its really that well hidden. Cacher’s need to pay attention to the rating of a cache, and if its hard, then they need to expect to have to work hard, and possibly even fail at finding it. If people don’t want to work that hard to find a cache, then they should limit the maximum difficulty rating that they choose to go after. Also, if you make a hard to find cache, and that’s your intention, then expect a sub-average success rate and some complaints, but that’s what a hard cache is all about!
