Congratulations go out to HeliDood for making the climb to #200 at Darrt Mound (GCKBJ3).
Nice weather + time off = more finds for the “Dood”!

      Thanks Sandlanders..

And what a spectacular cache that was…
High above the surrounding treetops. There is about 130 or 140 feet of local relief at this mound. and it is a STEEP, STEEP hike.

I had to go a little out of the way to grab this cache on my way back from Marshfield. For my 200th find today, I wanted a cache that was unique and a little more challenging than most. This seldom visited cache out near the middle of nowhere looked like a good candidate.

There are mounds to the west of Dartt Mound that are higher than this one, but to the best of my knowledge, there are no geocaches sitting at the top of them.

Anyone travelling around central Wisconsin, this little cache in eastern Clark County is worth going out of the way for. The hike is short and the find was simple, but the experience of climbing this little mound was great.

Just a few weeks ago, after my 100th find, someone commented that my next 100 won’t take quite as long. Boy, they sure weren’t kidding! Only took me two weeks and a day to find 101-200.

Oh, and there is no more “time off” for me. Spring break is over and its back to being a full-time student. 😉

        Congrats on the milestone 😀 But…did you find Dartt’s treasure ❓ ❓ ❓

        Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

I didn’t find Dartt’s treasure. But I do believe I found a hole that was dug by a person looking for said treasure. The hole was covered by a bunch of leaves and I managed to find it with my foot.

Congratulations, I did that one on a fine spring day a couple years ago. If you write the cache owner, she’ll send you even more detailed information on the interesting character for which the mound is named.
