My name is Julie and I’ve been caching for a little more than four years. I live in Appleton. My daughter and I started about the same time.  She has since moved to Missouri, so I mostly cache solo around here, and sometimes with my sister, who lives about an hour away. I have few more than 1000 finds. I started working on the CAA series. I’m about half way and would really like to complete it.

Welcome Julie. You will find that the FV has a lot of very active and involved cachers in the area. Each month, someone hosts an event. Hope to see you at one of those or on the trails!

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

      Welcome, Julie!

I’ll second Rawevil’s suggestion on going to events. I just really started going this past year, and not only has everyone been really nice – even to an introvert like me! – but I think I’m a better geocacher from the exposure to the more experienced cachers. Plus, they’re usually a lot of fun, and an easy smilie! 🙂

Yeah I’m kind of an introvert as well.  I’d say going to events helped with that.  Anyway, there are 2 events in the next couple of days, that would be a great way to meet new people.  I’m going to assume you know how to find that info, if not just let me know.  Looking forward to meeting you.

Welcome!  Events are a great way to network.  Maybe I will see you at one of them.
