    why can you only edit your post in the first 10 minutes, thats going to drive me nuts I make alot of mistakes

    You may not believe this, but we were not always the pleasant, carefree, happy-go-lucky group that you see today. In the past we had people post inflammatory comments, then go in and change what they said after people responded, typically making it look like the responders had overreacted. At the time, it was felt that a 10 minute edit period would be sufficient to correct errors while eliminating the problem of people “covering their tracks.”
