We figured it was about time to introduce ourselves after perusing the WGA site for a little while now. We are a husband and wife team plus our geopuppy Cubbie. We both grew up loving the outdoors. Matt lived on dairy farm and Liz’s family spent a lot of time “up north” and camping. Liz is an outdoor and environmental educator and Matt is an engineer. We started geocaching in May, 2009 and Geocaching has been a great way for us to get out and enjoy nature, we love challenging caches that bring us to new and exciting locations! So far we have found every cache together (just reached 300) and hope to continue to do so in the future. We have met some great cachers already and are excited to continue this great sport! 😀

04/12/2011 at 12:35 am #1946425Hi, janks15! You’re no strangers to one of the sandlanders (Pat), as I met the two of you at the Lonely Cache Event a couple of months ago. I still have to drag the mister (Mark) over there to see your facility, Liz, and with the snow gone, we can explore it more. Welcome to the WGA!

The birds are coming in like crazy now and the ice is out. It’s a great time to come see the marsh!

04/12/2011 at 1:42 pm #1946430Welcome aboard Liz and Matt! I think it’s great that you two have found every cache together; what a great thing to do together. Kim and I try to go caching together whenever possible. That’s how we started out – but since we’ve met other cachers through the WGA sometimes we’ll go out sans spouse for the day but with other cachers. And thanks Liz for emailing me that picture a few months ago of the Lonely Cache event!

04/12/2011 at 8:08 pm #1946431Welcome! Enjoyed the LCG event at your facility. I spent the first half of my childhood in Mayville. Sad to say I didn’t grow up there to fully appreciate the area, but now thanks to geocaching I can go back and enjoy both caching and all nature has to offer. I am glad you found an activity to do together that includes your interest in the outdoors and brings you in contact with so many people like in the WGA. See you on the trail or at events!
