Hi Folks,
We recently attended the WGA picnic and had a blast…(Drivebytrucker, Travelergirl and kids).
I have to admit I didn’t realize there was forums, etc. here that were separate from the “geocaching.com” site! so I’m embarrassed to say I think I wasn’t an official member here until about 20 minutes ago, lol.
We’re from Menomonie, WI and started geocaching about a year ago to do more outdoors stuff with our kids.
If anyone is looking for a geocaching buddy, especially anyone who like to run and cache (I like to plan runs that have some caches along the way!) let me know!

And there’s more to be had here and at other events. Jump in and enjoy the craziness! :wacko: :biggrin:Thank you for the welcome! Yes, the picnic was really great, we all enjoyed it very much. We would like to get back to Brunet Island before the winter really hits, but most of our weekends are pretty booked so it’s probably going to be spring before we’re back. Very happy we got to get to Brunet and meet some fellow cachers at the picnic. I recall we “met” you, too (we happened to bump into you while getting a cache on the island and I recall you were thanked at the end of the event for all your hardwork with WGA). Thanks again for your welcome 🙂 I’m looking forward to being more connected to WGA through this site!

If you are planning an outing and want to see if there is interest from other cachers, post a topic to the “looking for someone to cache with” thread. You may be able to find a few folks that enjoy whatever method of caching you like too.

Zoesbrother, great to “meet” another Menomonie geocacher! We’ve seen your caches around here and done a few of them, in fact I think you might have one of the night caches I have been meaning to try!

Welcome to the WGA, and glad that you and the family enjoyed the picnic at Brunet.
I am in Eau Claire and go caching for short and long adventures fairly often, and always willing to cache with others. One hang up though: I dont run since running is against my political and religious beliefs.
