We are not football fans but we do this every year, bookmark this link and click every day to keep the Packers Winning, at least they can win this every year.

The competition is heating up.
This year, one NFL team will earn a donation of Campbell’s® soup to the food bank of its choice. How much soup? We’ll get the official stats for all the players on the winning team’s official roster and donate one can for every pound the total team weighs! So far, the Green Bay Packers remain the undefeated Click for Cans champs – will they stay on top, or will they get a run for their money this year? It’s up to you!
Don’t be discouraged if your team doesn’t get the most clicks. The team that improves the most in the number of clicks from last year will also receive a donation! We’ll donate 2006 cans on behalf of the team that shows the most improvement in the number of clicks from last year.
Just click to fight hunger.
Visit Chunky.com every day to click on your favorite NFL team. The team with the most clicks and the team with the most improved clicks by midnight on December 15, 2006 will earn donations of Campbell’s® soup.10/13/2006 at 1:37 am #1766300I wouldn’t want to discourage anyone from giving to the hungry, but I thought I’d give everyone the full story on this.
I used to work for America’s Second Harvest of WI, the largest hunger relief organization in the state of WI. When we heard about this a number of years ago, we contacted Campbell’s seeing where the soup was going and how could we benefit. We were told they already donate to us (which they did). When we asked how the contest worked, they just let us know that the soup that they donate, they would probably have already donated (dented cans, labels falling off, etc.–perfectly good soup, just not saleable at a grocer). We asked if the voting really affected where the donated soup would go, and they told us that they attempt to donate to the ‘voted for’ areas, but it depended on the amount, where their warehouses were, and overall costs in doing transportation of the donation.
Campbell’s does donate to the hungry, so they do give charitably, just don’t think this program makes them really do something more than their corporation annually gives. This promo just get more people hitting their website.
If you truly want to give, I would remind people that the holidays are a hard time on many families with limited incomes (more mouths to feed with family visiting). Do your own food drive at your company or with your organization and give to your local pantry. Most needed items are always soup, cereal, chili/stew, boxed meals, and peanut butter.
