Hi – is there anybody out there interested in helping “host” what is called a “Summer Fun” in May or June in Delavan. What I need is a group of people to help plan and place some temporary caches and demonstrate/explain what geocaching is. They are looking for a program that could interest 5 year olds to adults. What a more perfect activity? They also would consider working in some orienteering (Alan)and compass instruction. Please let me know if anybody is interested. Thanks
Mrs. Geotripper
I would be happy to show them how to get lost with a map and compass (orienteering). But I don’t have my schedule set for this coming summer so keep me informed as for dates.
As long as we are talking about volunteering I will need four or five people to help with a cub/boy scout event February 5th 9:00 A.M. to early afternoon in Verona at the Badger Prairie Park. At my station I will have four or five teams compete to find their cache. I will need volunteers to instruct the team in the use of a GPS furnished by the volunteer and to help in finding a cache.
I will repost this near the end of December as a reminder.
