Help With My new Camper

Ok well we bought or first camper used 91 Palomino Filly. We have taken it out 3 times now and now we have a problem. It seems the winch to rase the camper has broken. I know it is not the lifting mecinizem because as soon as I crank it up if I let go of the handle the roof comes down. And the roof goes up real easy. So her is my delema I need to buy a new winch for it and I want to try to install it myself. I would like to know how hard is it going to be to install this if anyone knows and where can I buy a new winch cheep because since I work in construction I do not know how much longer I will be working so I need to save my money. And we are going camping in about 3 weeks so I need to fix it before we go again. I did call a couple dealeships and they want about $500 to do the job but I think I can do it cheaper if I do it myself. If anyone can help that would be great.

thanks Abby’s family I went to that site and they were helpful they even have a Geocaching section weird hey. I think anyone who has a pop up should check out that site lots of interesting things.

yea theirs a lot of nice people lots to learn such as levelers and stuff for the camper which we do not have and other useful things such as food and games really cool site thanks again
