The Community Education Committee was contacted by a WGA member looking to for help with a geocaching presentation for “Operation: Military Kids”, a monthly activity program for local kids that have parents involved in the military, at UW-Parkside (Kenosha). The presentation would start at 12:45pm on Saturday, April 14th and last maybe 2 hours.

So far, Dave of Team Deejay and myself have volunteered to help. We’d like another one or two additional volunteers (with GPS units) to take groups of kids out to hunt temporary caches.

Post here or contact me if you want to get involved. There is expected to be about 20 kids (or less) participating in the program this month, so we don’t need tons of help.

(Yes, I know it is the same day as a zillion CITO events. Yes, I know it is kind of short notice. Deal with it! :))

Things are looking good here. We have a total of 6 facilitators, including Blue Squrtles, stumbleweeder, and jeremy. Thanks to you all for your help!
