As for easy caches in the Wausau area, when you do a search, just remember to look at the Difficulty & Terrain ratings (or D/T as we affectionately type) which is located at the top of the cache page, centered: 1 star, 1.5 stars and 2 stars should be easy enough. 🙂 Also…look at the Container size, which is located next to the ratings. Choose ones which are small or regular. Once you get the hang of those, you will soon an addict to the Micros and Nanos and the other creative containers. LOL
If you are a premium member you can choose run a pocket query and have it search out those specifically in the 1-2 D/T range.
OR as a Regular (free) member or Premium member, you can go to the Geocaching.com Home page, look to the left and click on “Hide & Seek a Cache”. Once you have clicked on that, on that new page at the very top, is a box that says “By Adrress”. Type in “Wausau, WI” and click “GO”. That will give you a listing of caches, most likely starting at the center of town and spiraling out.
It lists, in order across the row:
Distance
Type of cache – traditional, multi, mystery, etc.
D/T – which sits atop the cache container size
Date placed
Name of the cache
Date last found
Now you can easily look down the page and go page to page to see what easier ones are out there.
