As the WWFM-V continues to get closer each day, I have been preparing myself by looking for places to hide new caches in the area. Considering this is my first attempt at hosting an Event Cache, I do not know how to hide the “new” caches to the public until the Event date. I want to get them all “ok’ed” first and then after the event is over, I will activate them. How do I do this? Thanks for your time.

    Happy Caching.

You submit them like any other to the reviewer, and explain the situation to him / her. He / She will get them in line to be published on the day you want them released to the public.

Ummm….WRONG! Create the cache pages, but uncheck the box that indicates the cache is ready for approval. Then email the numbers Becky or I and we will precheck them for you. If you have a large number of these (like more than 20) and want to set something up ahead of time, we can talk about a more complex process, but the basic one works fine. When the caches are ready to be approved, just check the box and save and it will pop up on our lists.

my only concern with that would be getting them all activated on May 2nd in the afternoon. I would hate for the people to go to the event and have to wait a few days before logging them.. i would like them active the minute the WWFM is over. you know what i mean? thanks for your help.
