Even I know better than to cause public uproar.
I find the whole concept interesting regarding the legalities of the issue. It’s not very sporting really, but I guess if you enjoy the taste.
03/10/2005 at 5:22 pm #1748523YIKES!!! Okay, so I heard a bit about this one the car radio the other day, but hadn’t seen the story until now. Thanks to WISearchers for the link. NOW: YIKES! I’m not much of a cat fan but would never think to “hunt” them down. I mean, if we can hunt free roaming cats, does that mean we can hunt dogs next? Won’t that be a mess for all the little doggies in the woods come hunting season? And what of little Suzie’s bunny who escaped when the 3 year old little girl didn’t latch the cage properly? Is Suzie going to be crying tonight too? Doesn’t this just open up a whole lot of worm cans? Again I say, YIKES!!!
MajorBrat03/10/2005 at 5:28 pm #1748524How about an open season on kids that cut thru your backyard? Sounds like this person has a few issues.
03/10/2005 at 6:47 pm #1748525A local stray had a litter of kittens in my neighbor’s boat. I’ll bet he would be interested in this.
03/10/2005 at 10:09 pm #1748526Mmmmmmmmmm! BBQ’d kitty ribs…..mmmmmmm! But watch out for the hairballs …..lol. Did you know cats make some 103 sounds, but dogs can only make 10 sounds? Just a tidbit that has absolutely no value what so ever. Sounds like the guy has isssues.
03/17/2005 at 3:33 am #1748527Well i agree with the guy…i just love going out my door in the morning, and stepping on a headless gift from one of the free roaming cats out here where i live. 9 times out of 10 it’s a songbird from my bird feeder. Cats and humans are 2 species that hunt for pleasure…i hunt… but for food.
The west side of Port Washington is overrun with feral cats. Would you like your child to be scratched by one of these lovely critters? I didnt think so…
The fact that some cat may be killed because it doesnt have tags on is a shame, maybe the owner will get a rude wakeup and care for his pet like a responsible owner should….
My position….shoot them, and yes… the dogs that run free and pack hunt should be fair game too…have seen way tooooo many coy’dogs outhere.03/17/2005 at 1:57 pm #1748528I am no stranger to feral cats, in fact my daughter just had to put hers down after it just went totally nuts..I’m talking mean. This cat always had a mean streak in her,but nothing like this. If I hadn’t seen the cat myself, I would’ve never believed it. She even growled as I came near her and with my eighteen month old grandson in the house, we knew we couldn’t take any chances. After failing to trap her, we wound up calling the humane society animal control dept who eventually caught her and and put her to sleep. Believe me, it was horrifying..and I consider myself an animal lover, with two cats of my own.
