With all the discussion (aka/ whining) about the white jeeps, I thought it would be fun-ny to see just how far people will travel to get their hands on one of them. So, in the spirit of a wzbt03 poll, I’m going to do my best to keep up with this count.
PLEASE POST YOUR GEOCACHING NAME, THE NUMBER OF MILES DRIVEN, AND THE (ROUNDTRIP) DISTANCE WALKED TO THE CACHE THAT AFFORDED YOU THE PLEASURE OF LOGGING THE WHITE JEEP, AND THE NUMBER OF JEEPS GRABBED THIS TRIP.(EXAMPLE)

after reading the title, this is NOT what i thought this thread would be about. :O
so far i have driven zero miles and walked zero miles. just wanted to be accounted for here.

1. I ranted a bit about how I wasn’t all that gung ho about the jeeps enough to get one
2. I raided one from another state!
But I got myself one white Jeep. I didn’t have to walk too far, but round trip, I drove 986.2 miles.
If you need to find me, I will be hiding underneath my soapbox…

Team GeoPirates (the folks Mole_n_Opossum compete against–yes, it’s all about the numbers) found a white Jeep the other day, waaaaay up in Superior. Team Captain Zach posted a bunch of pictures that are pretty funny.
Those pics and captions are great! I love when folks do that!

MajorBratThe mileage on my log for the Jeepers event is 42.8, but of course that is as the crow flies. So I would say….48 miles one way, then we walked about 2-3 car widths to Tie’s truck.
Bec – I believe you went to Nebraska with your parents. Please tell me it was for something other than a white jeep. BUT NOT ON THIS THREAD!!!

Drive over was about 50 for me, but then again, I didn’t go the most direct rounte. I am sure Team GeoPink is saying “50 miles….didn’t use your GPS to ge there did ya!” LOL
Digital_Dan was with me. He drove approx. 75 miles and walked 1 hr 15 min = the 2 miles too.
