Lacknothing couldn’t be more correct…on being boardwalk challenged. I lost her once and saved her a second time. She’s been diagnosed with LAGPSIS. (http://www.LAGPSIS) Looking at GPS instead of Surroundings.

Seems the echoing ‘OOOOOOOF!!!‘ we heard back by Arrowhead Park, many months ago, came from a certain Slippingadventure, not Lacknothing. You funny, Sensei! 🙂 🙂

I have no idea what you be talking about

DANGER! DANGER! “. . . I was be-bopping down the trail only to go feet up, keister down on the hard wood while I separated myself from the GPS, batteries and numerous plastic parts. Needless, to say, this area has left me with a sore spot and it’s taken me a year and a half to get back out . . .” btw there are still some ?’s 4U.

[Sorry, what’s this thread about? Schadenfreude? Apologies to the OP………..]

I still remember that. One of my more proud moments. The Lowrance lived another 1 yr after that.

There’s still a few left to do out there.

Back on topic, what the op is trying to say – should the DOT’s ban on rest stop caches apply to road sign caches as well? Yeah I think so. Nuff said.

Though Michigan’s DOT allows caches at their rest stops. So far, I’ve found every cache at a rest stop from Menominee to Marquette on US 41 and M-35. I gotta get the ones on US-2 from Escanaba to St. Ignace yet.

Who knows when Michigan will follow Wisconsin’s lead?

No need to go back on topic unless there’s a new equine to be beat.

Perhaps it should be the other way around. Take back the People’s rest-stops!

No need to go back OT–it was just one man’s opinion/concern based on a obvious trend, but what the hell do I know? And it certainly ain’t a hill I’m gonna die on.

For that matter, there’s plenty of stash-game stuff hidden at rest stops around the state, if you know where to look. (And no I don’t mean hash-stash.) Sometimes ya gotta think outside the geo-box….

Michigan won’t ban caches in rest stops, InTO worked with the MI DOT. To get them there. Same as in all the state parks too.

          What is InTO?

          #1958911

I take it the WGA tried to work with the DOT and failed.

Seems as if there was a friend of a friend of the DOT person that tried but it never happened. There’s a link somewhere in this forums about that but my search techniques stink.
