So to all the parents that had their kids at the camp-out.

How many times did you have to run the kids through the bath to get them clean enough to send to school?

I know it only took one for ours but that was quite a bit of scrubbing.

One very long soak for mine, and one tick removal for me (yuck).

Ya I had to remove a tick today so far.

I couldn’t wait to get in the shower. As one of the organizers, I had no free time to shower. I apologize to those down wind :). We all fought to get the first shower.

My youngest son spent most of his time climbing sappy pine trees. He was a real treat to get clean. I thought about taking him to the car wash to use the pressure sprayer.

No ticks for our family. We treated pants with permanone and the dog with “Frontline Plus”. No ticks on the dog either, which was a bug surprise.

ah the joys of trudy camping. we had a shower saturday after caching. then mark found a tick after putting on the same pants.

I, too, issue the same apology to those down wind of me… 😳

As for the MiniPink… We actually did rather well keeping them baby wiped clean throughout the weekend until they played near the campfire sand and soot shortly before heading home.

We subjected them to a McDonald’s bathroom wash down after eating there and bathed them intensly after arriving home.

    Tick count was suprisingly low…
Sara had two (climbing trees w/ GrouseTalesJr.)
Audrey had one, and I had only the one on my leg at the gathering.
[edit]Add one more tick just found in Elizabeths hair.

Just a warning to those doing tick checks. The wood ticks were easy to find (I only had one attached). However, when I did a quick face/hands wash at the family camp shower house before leaving I found a minuscule deer tick attached to my wrist under my watch. I just wanted people to know that the deer ticks were in attendance, too.
