How many satellite signals does your GPS normally lock onto? Sunday while hunting caches along the Pacific Crest Trail, I had 10…I think that’s a record for my Garmin etrex vista. I can’t remember having more than 5-6 signals in the midwest. I wonder if there’s anywhere on earth where you can see more than 10?

With my Rino I normally see 6 – 7 or so. But recently I did see 10.
I regularly see 11 with my Garmin GPS III (verified today). #12 is usually very hard to lock. I’ll see fewer under tree cover while caching, but 6 usually show under normal cover.
