Right now, I think it’s safe to say we’ve got about 12 new inches of snow on the ground, with it continuing to fall. Trekkin’ is heading into deep depression, not wishing to do any more deep snow caching. Something about not wanting to blaze trails for others!
I wouldn’t mind, if it involved skis or snowshoes, but he’s saying “no way!”
He blew out the main areas once and you can’t even tell anymore. The dog’s little igloo is completely buried. No, the dog is not outside. She went around the block to do her thing once and came right back in. Who says dogs are dumb? LOL12/23/2007 at 9:37 pm #1882545We had a lot of rain yesterday and overnight but then it turned to snow and has been coming down all day. I don’t know how much it is because I don’t wanna go out there yet.
12/23/2007 at 9:42 pm #1882546Fog, rain and just damp overnight, it has started to snow now though. They say that we are going to get an inch or two, so nothing major.
12/23/2007 at 9:57 pm #1882547I’d say we got about 6in and they are saying another 6-12. I’m sure glad dad gave me that 4-wheeler with a plow!
12/23/2007 at 10:04 pm #1882548I am kinda thinking if I ignore the snow long enough it will be off the driveway by the end of spring.
12/23/2007 at 10:27 pm #1882549I just checked the weather underground and I wasn’t far off. 11 inches of new snow so far. Trying to decide which direction to head for caching, LOL. Looks like north isn’t so bad.
12/23/2007 at 10:31 pm #1882550My drive was finally cleared off this morning for the first time since Dec 1. Even the ice dams are gone. At least from the south side of the house. I was at the hardware store yesterday and they said they are getting a new load of roof rakes in on thursday. Sorry I can’t say which store. I need to make sure I get one first.
12/23/2007 at 10:58 pm #1882551Almost all the snow we had melted last night and we have now gotten about 1/4 of an inch of new snow….I might be able to cache this week…..
12/23/2007 at 11:35 pm #1882552We only received 4 to 5 inches and now TWC is saying 1 inch tonight, but windy.
TE12/24/2007 at 12:10 am #1882553I have a 2 foot drift in front of my garage door. The wind is blowing from just the right direction!
12/24/2007 at 12:25 am #1882554marc, I think this storm cuts from our corner of WI to yours. Areas north and south of that line have far less snow. We have to keep opening the door and the gate so that we aren’t trapped until spring. Our 6 foot fence? The drifts show only the top 1.5-2 feet now. This is looking very much like the Big Snow of last spring.
And it’s still coming down.
12/24/2007 at 12:29 am #1882555It’s hard to tell how much we have in Wausau because of the drifting. But it’s still coming down sideways with the wind out there. It’s a very good amount of snow- I’d guess at 8 inches and counting…

I can vouch for ops’ measurement, much more accurate than the website posted elsehwere. I plowed it twice today, could use a 3rd run now to clean up the what fell since 1. Pulled my neighbor’s Chevy 3500 dump truck out of the ditch today (WHOO HOO! The cachemobile still has gutz!).
Wishing I hadn’t sold my old deere sled a few weeks ago.
12/24/2007 at 4:14 pm #1882557For a change this year, we hardly got anything at all. Maybe an inch total, but the wind mostly cleard the drives and walks for us. It’s been bitter cold with wind gusts topping 50MPH though. I was just glad to not have to do any more snow removal.
12/24/2007 at 11:08 pm #1882558Just heard La Crosse got 11 inches from this weekend’s storm. No why could we not get that much over here!???
