I stopped caching for awhile due to deer hunting season. Then it just got too darn cold. Now I’m ready to go out caching again, but do I still need to wear blaze orange for hunters? Or are all the hunting seasons done now?

I spotted several hunters out yesterday. It’s pretty easy to walk right by a bow hunter and never notice they are there. Even seen a couple wearing “I’m not a deer” orange, which suprised me.

Leave your Rudolph antler hat at home for a few more weeks.

We were out at Collectable cache in Kettle Morraine State Forest and spotted two hunters at the trailhead with firearms. Also heard gunshot off in the distance. So I guess they are out there. Uhm how bout wearing cheesehead hats….will that ward off hunters…lol…?

Deer hunting with guns is over in most of the state. CWD area (madison area) is open for deer hunting till Jan. 3. Then other small game goes till the end of Feb., and coyote can be hunted year round.
