went to a cache today that was in my gps. got home, logged it. went to log the geocoin i took and it said the last person to have the coin was me. and i dropped it in that cache just 2 weeks ago. didn’t even remember being there.
    doh!

I don’t know what to say to that.

I think those suffering from dementia should be allowed to log a smiley every time they find it.

Were you excited when you refound the cache? Did you remember to wear pants and did you make it home in time for snacks (pudding) and a nap?

    That is hilarious!

So do you get another Find for that? 🙂 Or maybe they take one away if you find it twice…in two weeks…and take the same geocoin.

Trudy & I made a trek into an Illinois preserve that seemed strangely familiar. We were able to walk right up to the cache and it didn’t really click until we spotted our log in the book about a month earlier. Don’t feel bad, Donna, there are others among us who are not admitting their repeat trips.

Been there, done that, have the t-shirt.

We had a funny TB story. We pulled a coin from the Dugway Road cache south of Prairie du Chien last fall, and dropped it in one north of Hayward a week or two later.

Within the last couple weeks, we retrieved the same coin from one in Rochester! It’s sitting in Door County now.

yeah, but a lot of coins look very similar, so you could easily mistake them. if i hadn’t taken that coin, i’d still never know that it was a repeat cache. and yes, i did delete the log.

It wouldn’t be all bad… Think of the gas savings by doing the same 25 caches over and over. 🙂

I hide my own Easter eggs, and have trouble finding them.

I hid my Garmin, and cant find it.

Heyyyyy- is that my arse? Or is just a hole in the ground?

If you were like the guy in Memento, you could just find the same cache over and over, and it would be exciting every single time!

      #1883351

… and it would feel like your first geocaching experience over and over every time! 🙂

      Getting old.

First you forget names, then you forget faces.
Then you forget to pull up your zipper.
It’s worse when you forget to pull it down.
