Recently, a new cacher placed a cache which turned out to be in the Quincy Bluff and Wetlands State Natural Area. The cache was placed by a group of students on a class trip, and they would love to get the cache on line. The teacher wouldn’t be able to fix it for quite some time, so I offered to help arrange a rescue. They are very happy with the idea of someone being able to help fix it for them.
If you click on the hyperlink above, you will see the cache is in western Adam’s county. Ideally, the cache would be re-located to a more appropriate position nearby.
If you are interested in helping, let me know. I will then give you the coordinates for the cache and get you in touch with the cache owner. I guess you would be the only one that could log the cache as a find.

01/24/2004 at 2:20 am #1741203All is well and this cache is now relocated.. though not as far in as the cache owner would have liked to try to show off this BEAUTIFUL area.. so take your time and hike on in further and enjoy the State Natural Area..
Oh by the way, Grousetales.. congrats on your 1000th post (grins)

Thanks! These days I spend more time on the message board then actually out geocaching. It’s about the only way I’ll ever see 1000
Thanks again for the rescue, I know the cache owner is very appreciative. I was amazed how fast you got responded and assisted!

02/27/2006 at 4:44 pm #1741206It’s awesome to see Lorrie back on the job! Can’t wait to get up there this summer and find out where she placed this one!
I’ve done many of her caches and haven’t been disappointed yet.
Any chance you’ll post the link to the cache page here so we can all see which this thread has been about?
MB02/27/2006 at 9:07 pm #1741207It’s a 2 year old thread. Cache could be gone by now.
