…thank Natloh2 and Hot Dogs Off Trail for the absolutely, fantastically, spectacular and wonderful event cache today!!!!!!! We had soooooo much fun! This was our first event cache and it completely exceeded our expectations. You 3 did a super job with the caches, the park choice, the building…. well, just the whole entire thing!

01/25/2004 at 2:19 pm #1746222Yea, that goes for us too. Except this wasn’t our first event, just our best!
01/25/2004 at 7:36 pm #1746223I’d like to give my thanks again for this great event. I’d also like to thank Mother Nature for the terrific weather (as terrific as you can get this time of year in Wisconsin). I would hate to imagine what this would have been like with no sun to warm us and some wind to chill us . And now I think I’ll get back to taking care of my aching feet.

01/25/2004 at 10:44 pm #1746224I too want to say thanks! I had such a great time and enjoyed meeting so many fellow geocachers. Special thanks to Geotrippers and MadisonJoe for showing me the ropes and putting up with a newbie like me.
….’course, I’m pretty wiped out today. Last night was the first time in a long time that I went to bed at 9PM!!! But it was all worth — thanks!!!!

01/26/2004 at 12:03 am #1746225We’d also like to thank all the wonderful cachers (we counted 37 Teams represented) who braved Mother Nature and the “climb” up to Caching Through the Snow and made all our efforts so very worth it. We’re still in the after glow of the event.
Special THANKS to our Partner-in-Caching, Natloh2 for all the work on the maps, books , and papers and for all the hour trips each way he made to help make the event a success.
We had a GREAT day with our CACHE Family!!
Bonnie, Jeff, Madison, & Murray01/26/2004 at 7:59 am #1746226I added this to my Caching Through The Snow log and thought I’d post it here too. Okay, I really added it to my log so the image would be stored somewhere to link to.
I downloaded my track log and discovered that I had walked 6.4 miles while Caching Through The Snow. I also discovered that while the parking was 0.6 miles from the cabin as the crow flies, the road from the parking to the cabin was 0.9 miles. Now I know why my feet hurt.

01/26/2004 at 4:41 pm #1746227We were late arrivals to the shelter — around 2pm. Would have been about 11:30 if not for our misadventures on the first attempt to find it. Did you know that CORRECT coords in the GPS are CRITICAL??!!!
Just wanted to add our thanks to the organizers. It was a terrific venue (if a bit hilly!!!!) and event. We only got around to two of the caches but they were VERY well done.
So a big ‘Thank you!!!’ to all who planned and worked hard to make this come off so smoothly.
01/26/2004 at 8:26 pm #1746228I too would like to thank Natloh2 and Hot Dogs for the great time Saturday. Everything was well thought out and well done. The caches were very creative and the cabin was a real treat. I can’t wait to see what CTTS part 2 will be like. (wondering if they can find an even taller hill?) Thanks again for the memorable event!
