I have a vivid memory of this storm and the damage it caused .. and we were way far away from it. Can’t imagine what it was like on the lake.

In a odd coincidence the marina in my hometown is owned by the son of whom the fitz was named after. He has/had a couple of big pictures of the ship in his office there.
I know of the song, and the history behind it but don’t remember the storm.

heard it from my uncles story..
that was a very tragic one..
he always remember it everytime the rain falls and strong wind come with it.,..
