Today I ended up with an hour to kill and decided to do a couple of caches in Milwaukee since I was there.
I did two – the first went fine.
Number two was Spas – I believe it is rated a 1/1. Had on my new tennis shoes so I really did not want anything tough.
I got within 50 feet of the cache and was blocked by a 6 foot water offshoot of some sort which extended all the way to the backyards of the park neighbors.
After much debate I walked to where I could get around and feeling a bit guilty in case it was privite property, I hurried over to the cache.
On the return I decided that “Hey I can jump six feet over this water”.
I figured the speed needed to clear this hurtle and backed up 15 feet and sprinted toward the water. I flew through the air and could see my foot was going to make it over the water by at least a foot. When my foot went down, it hit wet grass and slid forward like it was on ice. My posterior was less fortunate and with my feet going out from under me, it landed squarely in the obstacle I was trying to avoid.
Quite a sight to witness I am sure. My first reaction was to look around to see if anyone on this planet had seen me – phew! the coast was clear.
I figured that if anyone did come to my aid I was going to explain that my hobby was puddle jumping except on weekends when I hunt for hidden tupperware in the woods.
