The following was posted today for October 30 as a log for “Up From Turtle Creek”:
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=79713&log=y&decrypt=by a new user named NOtrespassing
couldn’t figure out what all the traffic was about. saw LOTS of people (not hunters) going back to dnr land.
several used dnr lane but MOST WERE TRESPASSING on my land!
many admitted in their reviews that they did, others didn’t
mention it but they did trespass as well. I am truely thankful for those who did this by the book and were not trespassing, however, you few people were far outweighed by the majority who did trespass. Also the guy whose gps said that the cache was on private land was correct, it was on my land. I have repaired the fence that some idiot tore down and have REMOVED the cache from my land. This concept is fine, do it, have fun, but be respectful of other peoples property! Please do not put another cache (ON) or (NEAR) my land (as that would encourage future trespassing)
P.S. I will be logging on from time to time to see where you put them so save yourself some time and energy and dont put another one by my land.
Thank You!Which reminds us …
1. Don’t place caches on private land. If not sure, play it safe.
2. Don’t cut across private land to get to a cache. If not sure, play it safe (even if the crops are harvested).
3. Don’t plan/brag about cutting across private land to get to a cache. Some earlier logs do.
4. Avoid placing a cache that makes it a temptation or an easy accident to use private land.I was watching this cache because I was the first no finder after the cache disappeared. Now we know why its gone.

11/21/2003 at 7:41 pm #1745912I archived the cache. In hind sign, the topo map reveals what might be the boarder of the public/private lands. Very difficult to discern unless you are very familiar with the area. I can see where the cache is barely on private property. Thanks for posting this message Jeff.
