We find many that say that they are 1 star terrain, that usually are not, we know how difficult it is with Val being in a chair part time, but we do make it to many that are higher. very inspirational video
I watched this an hour or so ago and then sat back to think and review some of my own caches that are rated a 1 terrain. The part that got me thinking was right near the end when the gentleman in the wheelchair said something like “How am I supposed to get that?”. That really hit home for me on what a T1 really is. Unfortunately I have a number of caches (some my own, some adopted) that I don’t think qualify for the T1 rating. Very eye opening once someone sees a video like this. I think I’ll be bumping the T ratings on a couple of my caches based on this.
What an eye opener. If there were more 1 star caches in the madison area, maybe Madison Joe’s wife could find more caches and not worry about him getting stuck in the mud deep in the woods.
Thanks for sharing that, Jeff. As someone whose work often involves kids in wheelchairs (and who has been with them on field trips), we encounter 1 terrain caches and think….no way!
