We were watching Discovery Channel last night and it got me thinking….are there caches on Everest? So I looked to see what’s in Nepal. Nothing on Everest, but quite a few EarthCaches in the Mustang Region and one at Annapurna which requires a five day trek to reach ground zero. I wish!

There is one located at one of the base camps. Having read quite a bit about Everest, I was not surprised there aren’t any caches at the summit. There’s so much junk on the trail to the top already.
So, what interesting looking places and caches have you discovered that you’ll probably never visit, but wish you could?

What? You guys haven’t made your plans for that one already? 😉
Now I have to start thinking about some places and then check them out for any caches. Hmmm-mmm…01/19/2010 at 2:45 am #1920562This one would require Dick boarding an airplane (not to mention tons of money!) and it ain’t gonna happen!

Ha, remember A-Team? B.A. Baracus wouldn’t fly so they knocked him out and tossed him on the plane.

Not likely to find them or not likely to look for them?

01/19/2010 at 11:57 am #1920571I keep a list of someday must-do caches. I used to include caches from all over the world, but have now pared it down to ones I’m likely to get to if motivated, all in the U.S. Still not a shabby list, including caches on top of Half Dome, Yosemite and on Mt. Katahdin in Maine. Time will tell?
01/19/2010 at 3:38 pm #1920572Just this last Saturday Rsplash40 and I stopped at Ma & Pa’s BP station along the miracle mile in FonduLac to buy a couple of lottery tickets. As we were leaving we started to make loose plans about what we were going to spend our winnings on. I thought that if I won the jackpot, I would immediately buy a 40′ class A motor home and start cruising the country hunting the Cache Across America series. Splash thaought that was a pretty good idea.
After checking my tickets Saturday night, I found that i won $7. I spent $5 on tickets, leaving a profit of $2. The trip is now indefinitely postponed. 😥

Little Round Top at Gettysburg. It’s an EC but my wife and I agree this is a must see for our family. Not because we had relatives but because of my fasination with the Civil War and the fact she was able to visit here when she cleaned the White House fireplaces in ’04. She said one visit was not enough!
