a team member is going to europe (iceland, sweeden, poland, czech. rep., etc.)and is planning on geocaching while there. trying to figure out something to link our part of the globe to the folks across the pond. planting a cache or sending a travel bug or maybe even setting up a sister caching relationship with them. if anyone has any ideas, please post them here. we’ve only been doing this about 3 weeks and love it. thanks in-advance.

Any chance they are visiting Switzerland? Our Lake Geneva is named for a region in Switzerland: http://www.lake-geneva-region.ch/gb/index_f.html

If they are visiting that area, then it should be pretty easy to locate a cacher in that area. How about the idea of emailing a cacher in that area and ask them to prepare a cache for your team member to bring back and hide over here. In exchange, you could prepare a cache to take and have them plant.

Then the two areas could be ‘sister’ cachers. If they have any websites, we could cross link them.

Great ideas! He has family in Sweeden and they are taking him around europe to sightsee. So not sure if they’ll make it to switzerland or not. But we will be sending a travel bug over and some other things from wisc. Will keep you updated.
