If you are new to geocaching or know of someone who would like to know how, the Greenfield & Franklin Parks & Recreation Depts. are co-sponsoring a class for beginners for four weeks from June 23-July 14 at the Franklin Public Library (92nd & Loomis) in Franklin from 6:00-8:00pm.

I will be leading the class with different topics to be covered each week. Participants will also experience the different types of caches out there with a special night-time caching experience the last night of class. Topics to be covered include the different types of GPS units, different types of caches, creating and tracking your own travel bug, how to hide your own cache, and a tour of the geocaching site and WGA message boards, plus much more.

This is a family class, so kids are invited to participate with their parents. There is still room in the class. For more information, you can e-mail me through my profile. Contact me if you would like to be a guest speaker for one of the classes. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS. For registration information, you may contact one of the following recreation departments:

Greenfield Parks & Recreation Dept. http://www.ci.greenfield.wi.us/parksrec

If you want some extra help let me know, I live down the road from library and could stop in.
