I’m thinking of taking the plunge to get an ITouch for paperless caching. Aside from Music / Video, what other applications / uses are people finding useful?
I use mine for reading, surfing the web, games, note taking, and several other applications. For geocaching I use Geosphere instead of the app from Groundspeak. I’ve tried their app, and just didn’t work for me.

Take the plunge, the water is fine. :>
Seriously, you can just about name what you want to do and someone has built an app for it. Mine is through work and I try my best to keep personal stuff off of it, I do have the gc.com app though. I’ve pulled down a few free things, like the fox sports ticker, yahoo IM client and one free gps application.
I’ve used it a lot for look up of stuff on the trail( I have the phone) like what poison ivy/oak look like, what kind of tracks we saw, etc.
I have all 11 pages on mine filled with applications…I am kind of an app addict. 🙂
The ones I use the most are the Facebook and Twitter apps, but like RSplash said, you can find an app for just about anything you want to do.
And I will second the vote for Geosphere. I absolutely *love* that app and it makes paperless geocaching so painless and easy.
Thanks for the feedback! I too am looking at buying an iTouch. I just need to decide how much I want to spend and what size to get. With the iPad coming out, I would hope the price will dip a bit.
