It.s been one year today that I discoverd this “sport, addiction, obsession, just a good ol’ time. In a years time I have found 72…. I think and have put out 19….I think. Not to shabby of numbers for a rookie year. Can I think of anything I’d rather have been doing…….nope! Well……may be fishing!
Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary Cheezehead. It only gets better and more fun and more addicting. You’ll soon find out, however, that the people involved in geocaching is what makes this activity better than any other sport/obsession.

Had to go back and look at my rookie year – 115. Not bad, considering it was back in ancient times, when there were considerably lfewer caches out then now. Heck, I remember travelling to another state to get #100!
Great year. It was ours June 27Th this year. 222 finds and 2 placements. I just love the fact that we found this “sport” and have seen more interesting places in the past year than we have seen in the 40 years prior. You are all correct it is the people that make this addiction worth while. Anywhere you go, you meet a cacher and it is like you are old friends.
Yup our 1 year to was this past weekend and the week of July 4th last year hooked us we did maybe a 10 caches in the week but it got us hooked. Now if i don’t do 10 caches when im out for a day i feel like i’ve had a bad day..
Our one year anniversary came in March this year. We managed about 450 finds, and almost 50 hides by our anniversary. But our best stat is the hundred or so other cachers we’ve met along the way.
Our 1 year anniversary is this week. Today was the last geocaching opportunity I had before the anniversary. I was able to go over the 365 find level today. It seems like lots of people started last summer. I know I just recruited one new team to the geocaching community who made their first finds this week.
