With the month over, the question still remains of who will come out on top of a close race in February. With some cache rescues still unscored that will push some of the top-5 players even higher in the month, the only remaining question is whether any catch-up logging from the weekend remains to be done.
Will it be seldom|seen, playing with the handicap of a perpetual scheduling…ah…”challenge”? Will it be HuffinPuffin2, a team proven willing to go the LONG distance in search of elusive lonelies? Will CodeJunkie solve his way to the podium? Will it be a “jar”-ring upset for jar42? Or will the Old Man finally emerge from a third-shift induced slumber to take the gold medal?
The suspense…the drama…the thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat.
Bring on the March list!

I’ll be lucky to make the podium. Bronze is the best I can do.
03/01/2010 at 2:25 pm #1923500I scored a couple points yesterday. I’ll accept my 17th(ish) place prize for the month of February whenever you want to send it. 😉
This ended my 6 month span of scoring no lonely points.
Congrats to whoever comes out on top. February is not an easy month to hunt caches let alone the lonely one’s.
03/01/2010 at 2:33 pm #1923501I had a blast this cycle and had the opportunity to play in the water and chop ice both on both the first (1/1) and last (2/28) days of the cycle. Definately some great memorable caches thanks to the LCG. And I got the great opportunity to get me dad started in geocaching.
03/01/2010 at 4:48 pm #1923502Trying for the win this month so I can’t stop thinking about it for the rest of the year, but I will be happy with whatever place I come in. It was a good cycle and despite my constraints (yes, Mike, I have a job) I did manage to get out on a few detours while doing other justified business and family related trips. Thanks to everyone who plays to keep the quality of Wisconsin caches in good standing.
I am looking forward to playing the rest of this year when opportunities present, heck I may even be up for a few all-nighters this summer, cause I know for sure I’ll be in the Northwoods fishin at some point…
HuffinPuffin2 set the bar supper-high this year and I have a feeling that record will probably stand for some time. An early congrats if the slim margin I have now gets overtaken by this gregarious and generous caching couple – it’s nice to have you in the game and all I have to say is, Pace Yourself!
03/01/2010 at 6:05 pm #1923503A typical low score for this second half of the period, but a fun month to watch and play. You never know…. The photo finish has speculation in several directions. As for pacing yourself, gosh, I notice you can log one of those twice with a tough July ALR no longer so challenging. 😉
03/03/2010 at 8:00 pm #1923504I see some sniping coming… 😯

I’d welcome the sniping, but I’ve been informed that some contenders are going to refrain from it to stay above the fray, a little like my self-imposed rule to refrain from DNF logs and Revisits (with notable exceptions).
Now, if I were them, I’d try to orchestrate a tie like I have in the past, but that’s me and I play in my own unique way. Whoever get’s it, gratitude goes to this year’s leader for paving the way and setting the bar.
03/05/2010 at 1:10 am #1923507Linda and I just watched “Up” this weekend. Only a bit of “sniping” on that one! 😉
03/05/2010 at 2:09 am #1923508“Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers”
I’ve seen them out at Soco
They’re pounding sixteen penny nails
The truckers on the interstate
Have been known to ride the rails
The sweat is beating on the brow
Can’t keep these fellas down
‘Cause those damned blue-collared tweekers
Are runnin’ this here townI knew a man who hung drywall
He hung it mighty quick
A trip or two to the blue room
Would help him do the trick
His foreman would pat him on the back
Whenever he would come around
‘Cause these dammed blue-collar tweekers
Are beloved in this here townNow the union boys are there
To protect us from all the corporate type
While curious George’s drug patrol
Is out here hunting snipe
Now they try to tell me different
But you know I ain’t no clown
‘Cause those damned blue-collar tweekers
Are the backbone of this townNow the flame that burns twice as bright
Burns only half as long
My eyes are growing weary
As I finalize this song
So sit back and have a cup o’ joe
And watch the wheels go round
‘Cause those damned blue-collar tweekers
Have always run this town -
