Well it’s that time of the year again. When we all make resolutions and then attempt to keep them.
For me it is simple. “To get out more,” That’s it simplest form. But what it means to me is less guardrails and more hikes for a cache. Or at least take a hike and possibly find a cache or 2 on the way. Maybe that way I can actually shed a few pounds in the process.
So now I have started the annual thread of our resolutions for next year. What are your resolutions? Not to read maps while driving in town? Hit X amount of caches? Raise the average terrain ratings of your finds?
12/24/2007 at 1:48 am #1882567While you are at it, let us know how you did on last years resolutions!
My resolution is to not be obsessed with numbers, and enjoy the social and outdoor aspects of caching more (with an occasional easy micro when I need a quick caching fix).
As for my resolutions from last year, I am now 9 months free form smoking 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
12/24/2007 at 2:07 am #1882568If it’s not about the numbers, what is it…..?
I made an effort to do multi and mystery caches this past year, and did fairly well……
Multi – 125
Virtual – 26
Mystery – 177
Earth – 23Perhaps this year I should work on not having any new mystery / puzzle caches published??! I mean everyone else, not me……
12/24/2007 at 5:35 am #1882569I plan on smoking more, drinking more, and having more 70’s style “get togethers” …
but seeing as how the only one I may actually come close to doing is drinking more (not like that is hard lately…) I’ll just stick to the old standby’s of weight loss and being nice to the pygmies in new guinea..
On a geocaching note, I’ll try to clear out the home territory, hopefully tackle the one or two Timberline Echo’s caches that have come out since I cleared their list earlier this year. Beyond that…try and find some new places to go cache, maybe pick up a county or two.
I hope everyone here is able to make theirs come true this year
peace

12/24/2007 at 5:59 am #1882570Goals, I ain’t got no Stinkin’ Goals!!!
Well Maybe I do. Spend more time with Friends finding tupperware in the woods.
I would like to find cache number 2000 on or before 4-29-2008. That would put me at 1000 Caches per year since I started caching.
Anything else, I’ll take it as it goes!!!

We are going to Mike’s house.
12/24/2007 at 8:36 am #1882572One of my geocaching goals is to complete my missing states in the lower 48. Only 6 more to go in the lower, then off to Alaska for my 50th state.

Does that include fondue at your get togethers?

Yes but its required that you let it cool before applying it.

I would rather not. I kind of like the hot burning pain thing.

I have a big bowl that will hold about 50-60 sets of car keys!
On a caching related note I hope to get to five hundred caches this summer. Now that marshall is a year old we should be able to cache a little bit harder this summer!

Here are mine (in no particular order):
Finish the Iowa Delorme ChallengeFind a cache in ALL of Iowa’s Counties
Find ALL of Iowa’s Earthcaches (I’ve only got 12 left)
Find 1000 total Iowa caches.
Shouldn’t be too hard…should it? 😕
12/27/2007 at 2:39 am #1882580Brett, if you would stop monkeying around, you could have all these goals done by now!
