When I visited my brother over Thanksgiving we went geocaching and stopped by a low grade nuclear waste pile in Missouri which is absolutely awesome!

Does it qualify as any kind of cache without a physical container, or does he need to get permission to hide a container there or make it a multi?

    Thanks,

There is public assess to this site?

I think no matter what permission should be looked for at a location such as this. Not sure an EC would work as this is not naturally occurring but you could send an email to Geoaware and inquire.

There is public access and an educational center there. There are also several informational signs which give background of the area and local history.

I was thinking that it’s kind of like the bioretention Earthcache down in the Menomonee Valley – also a man-made feature, but ofenvironmental interest.

I haven’t found the EC to which you reference. Most ECs are possible if you are able to spin it correctly. Contact Geoaware and see what his thoughts are…
