Greetings everyone,
I am Jason Johnston out of New Richmond, WI., which is a quiet and growing community in Western Wisconsin within Saint Croix County. I work full time with Phillips-Medisize within New Richmond as a Machine Operator. I have 3 adult children, and 4 grandchildren.
My Geocaching adventures started in 2013 when I visited a friend of mine Varofharken, who had been Geocaching for awhile. He introduced me to the game, and i have been hooked ever since. I have been a premium member of Geocaching since the beginning and have even hidden several caches within my own community, and have hosted an event to try and introduce others to Geocaching.
I recently not long ago attended my first WGA Event out in Rib Lake, WI., known as “The Fall Picnic”. Many of the current BOD could see my enthusiasm within regards to Geocaching and encouraged me to run for one of the positions of the BOD. After much more talk with them, I made a decision to accept a nomination if nominated and here i am.
If elected, my goal is to help promote Geocaching more in Western Wisconsin, and educate new/current cachers of the existence of the WGA.
