Jay Mills …. setting a trend?

Congratulations to newbie Jay Mills on a solid 50 finds in less than a month! I have a feeling you are addicted….

I browse the Milestones list to see who is actually using this option on the WGA. Usually, it’s the older members you see, with numbers in the hundreds, if not thousands.

But, there are more and more new names popping up. Like Jay Mills, who started caching in January.

My perception is that someone who gets into the WGA site like Jay, and begins listing Milestones so soon, is someone who has staying power. I expect this type of person to remain on geocaching scene for some time. How long is hard to say, but we will see.

It was also great to see Jay at the “Freeze your Rumpus Off” event in Greenfield. (Don’t worry about learning all the names, that will happen eventually.) Meeting other likeminded people at these events and on the trail is always helpful.
